Review: Molly McAdams's "Firefly (Redemption #2)."

Synopsis:

As the Princess of the Irish-American Mob, there’s no shortage of men ready to help guard and protect me. To slowly suffocate me to the point of seeking freedom—a place where I can breathe.

Kieran Hayes has been saving me for as long as I can remember. It’s in his blood, and one of the many reasons I fell in love with him. Until my favorite trait became his biggest flaw, making me resent the man I love. An unwavering warrior, his love for me has been shrouded by those instincts.

Save Lily. Protect Lily. Hide Lily. Cage Lily.

What I wasn’t prepared for was Dare—the man who would set my world on fire with just one touch. He saw straight through to my soul, as though he knew I was desperate for freedom, and silently demanded my heart from the beginning.

And I didn’t expect Dare to be Demitri Borello—the reason for so many deaths in my family. A man who will take my life the moment he finds out who I am.

Despite it all, I’ll love him until that moment comes.

A fire will die if there is no oxygen for it to consume. Ours is rapidly stealing every last breath we can sacrifice to it.

Review: Jo

This book ticked so many boxes for me. A gripping plot, beautiful writing and a gorgeous love story that resulted in another fabulous novel from Molly McAdams. "Firefly" did not disappoint.

"You're a dream inside a living nightmare, and I'm a bastard for pulling you in."

From the moment I began reading I knew this story was going to keep me on my toes. As soon as I met Lily, Kieran and Dare, my mind was swimming with questions that I was desperate to discover the answers to. What followed was a Romeo and Juliet style story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Lily and Dare were in the middle of a war and I had no idea how things would turn out for the pair. Half of me wanted to tear through the pages, praying for a HEA, and the other half of me felt apprehensive to continue as I feared the worst. Everything was telling me that this story, just like Romeo and Juliet was not going to end well.

"I was made to love you. I just found you in the wrong life."

As always with Molly McAdams, the characters that she has created were easy to love and become invested in. The writing was also flawless, every single page was covered in words that made my heart skip a beat. It was a feast for my romance loving eyes. Now, I cannot wait for the next book in the series which sees Nightshades story. It's only fair that he gets to have a happy ever after too.

"I would let my heart be destroyed a thousand times
if it meant a thousand more days with him."

"Firefly" was well worth the read and gets 4.5 hearts from me.
