Review Blitz: J A Huss's "His Turn (Turning # 3)."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to be a part of the Review Blitz for J A Huss's "His Turn (Turning # 3)."

I look her body up and down as I circle her.
I smile a devious, deviant, I’m gonna make you sorry you ever started playing this game with me smile.
And then I take her hand.
I lead her to the elevator.
We go up to my apartment.
I tie her wrists together with rope.
Raise her arms above her head.
And chain her to the ceiling.
It’s my turn.

Review: Surj

Oh Elias Bricman, how you finally stole my heart. "His turn" was one of the most highly anticipated books of the year for J A Huss fans. It was a story I was itching to get my hands on, especially since I'd seen a sliver of another side to Bric's in "Turning Back" and I were desperate to see that side explored more. On top of that, I'd seen the end of a game that had consumed Bric's life for more than ten years and I knew this was gong to hit him hard. He'd lost and everyone else had moved on. Where did that leave him? I was desperate for Bric to get his HEA but after reading the end of book two in the series, I knew this would be no mean feat. This was going to be one hell of an uphill struggle and I wondered who would take on such a mammoth task?

“There is nothingness... and then there is emptiness.
I’m still trying to figure out the difference.”

Well having just finished "His Turn," I'm seriously at a loss for words. My initial thoughts after I turned the last page were, "What the ever loving fuck was that?" Crappety crap crap, I honestly was not expecting any of that with so much of it a complete surprise, my head was left spinning. My heart is still racing from all the craziness and I think it'll be a few days before I finally manage to process it all. From Bric turning up his assholeness several levels that left me reeling at his behaviour to J A Huss giving me tiny little snippets to make sure my hearts till ached a little for him. Then of course there was the fact that Bric finally met his match which definitely left me grinning like a cheshire cat. And not forgetting the multitude of games that were suddenly in play (or were they?) to the red herrings that ensured my mind was all over the place in terms of where I thought this story would go. And finally, not forgetting those mo fo plot twists that completely blew my mind. I didn't know if I was coming or going with this story and I loved every single bit of it.

"Welcome to the mind fuck, Miss Wolfe."

I was gutted when the game Smith, Quin and Bric had been playing came to an end but equally, I was curious by the prospect of a new game. However I'll admit, initially I was like a petulant child when it came to the new players. I didn't want a new Quin or Smith, I didn't want to see them replaced and so of course, I initially took a dislike to Jordan. He hadn't even done anything wrong other than offer Bric the chance at a new game but I'm a creature of habit and I didn't want the change and so I found myself getting angry at Jordan. Lucky for Jordan though because he intrigued me and so I did give him a break. I was dying to know what his motives were when it came to the game. Was it just that he loved the kink or was he hiding something? I couldn't work it out but what I did see was a nice guy. Yes he had his dominant side and yes he had a bad boy streak when in character but overall, he was a hot guy who was nice with it.

So Nadia Wolfe, well well well, what can I say other than Elias Bricman really did meet his match with our heroine. She had a serious amount of sass and fiery attitude and from the minute I heard her inner monologue, I knew she was going to be my favourite out of the three leading ladies in the series. She was bloody brilliant and really did give Bric a run for his money.

"Mr Bricman," I say to no one but myself. "You have officially met your match."
He's going to be so much fun to fuck with, I almost feel giddy at the thought.

"His Turn" was quite different to the first two books in the series. It was pretty raw, dark and gritty to be honest and gave us quite the insight into Elias Bricman's psyche. This man had a past. He had history that he was yet to come to terms with and I could see that it had eaten away at him over the years and turned him into (what some would describe as) a nasty piece of work. He was a selfish, self absorbed, manipulative, controlling asshole (and that's putting it mildly). Seriously, there were moments I just couldn't see any kind of happiness in his future he seemed so angry and lonely. Lucky for him I love a redeemable asshole and I had every faith this author would give me one.

Everyone has a breaking point. Everyone. Even Elias Bricman has a breaking point.
And tonight I'll get past that point. I will break him.

This really was quite the finale for the "Turning" series. It had everything I've grown to know and love about a J A Huss novel yet at the same time, every single bit of it was such a huge surprise. yes I know those two sentences contradict each other but hey ho, that's just the way it goes.

Thank you J A Huss for a fantastic series. I cannot wait to read the "Taking" series. Roll on next year. This one gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“Are you ready to turn over?” Elias asks.

So ready. I don’t even wait for him to tell me to. I simply force my submissive body to turn. And when I open my eyes, Elias Bricman is smiling down at me. He takes his hands to my breasts, pinches my nipples hard enough to make me gasp, and then resumes his calming massage. Gripping them in his palms like fruit, then releasing them, allowing them to fall back and rest, before doing it again.

He leans down—just as Jordan begins to knead the large muscles of my upper thighs, his thumbs once again dipping in between my legs, teasing me so sweetly—and kisses my mouth.

He tastes sweet, like the fruity brandy he’s been drinking.

“Do you want my cock in your pussy?” Jordan asks, his fingers, finally—finally—playing with my throbbing clit.

“Yes,” I mumble into Elias’s mouth.

Elias pulls back just enough to say, “Do you want to wrap your lips around my cock?”

“Please,” I say, the word so soft and sincere. “Let me.”

Elias grabs me by the arms and scoots my whole body forward, until my head is hanging off the edge of the table. I open for him, but he makes no move to take out his cock. Just resumes his massage of my shoulders. It feels so achingly good.

There’s a sound of a belt being unbuckled. The ripping of a zipper being unzipped. It’s Jordan, not Elias. His pants fall to the floor with the whoosh of fabric, and then he’s pushing my legs together and climbing onto the table with me. He straddles my thighs as Elias continues to stare down at me, his hands busy with my breasts again, his fingers pinching my nipples.

The tip of Jordan’s hard cock probes at the entrance to my pussy. I want to open my legs for him, but I can’t. He’s got them pinned tightly closed with his knees.

Jordan pushes a little harder.

I moan, “Ohhh,” just as he makes it past the soft, wet folds and finds the entrance. “Yes,” I say, breathing hard now.

I buck my back, making my head fall even farther back over the side of the table. Bric is unzipping his pants, taking out his cock. I watch it appear. Long, and hard, and so fucking thick. His balls are tight and round and I reach up and out to hold them.

I can’t see the smile on Elias’s face, but I know he’s smiling when he leans forward, my mouth open wide, and pushes the round tip of his cock past my lips.

I suck on him immediately, making him grab my hair. Fist it roughly. He likes this, I think in my head. He likes what I’m doing. I’m pleasing him. And this pleases me.

A quick thrust from Jordan and he’s fully inside me. I lift my hips up in surprise, so focused on Elias, I’d forgotten he was about to fuck me.

He’s still got my legs pinned closed and it’s killing me. It’s killing me not to open wide for him the way I’m open wide for Elias.

“Put your hands on my thighs, Nadia,” Elias commands. “And don’t move them.”

I obey. I grip his muscular thighs, grip the fabric of his pants, desperate for more of everything they’re giving me tonight.

“Open your throat,” he says, as Jordan begins to fuck my pussy harder. Making my whole body rock. Making my mouth take more cock. Making my pussy take more cock. “Open your throat and let me take over. Give in, Nadia,” Bric says. Because yes, this is Bric again.

He’s tricked me, I realize. He’s always been Bric.

But I don’t care. His commands feel like a gift.
