Review: J.A Huss's "Taking Turns (Taking Turns # 1)."

The Hopeless Romantics Book Blog are pleased to review J.A Huss's "Taking Turns (Taking Turns # 1)."

Synopsis:

I’ve never been afraid of the dark...but that doesn’t mean I wanted to live in it. And maybe everyone wants what they can’t have, but I should’ve thought it over before I accepted the key and unlocked the door to their forbidden world.
Number One is mostly silent. He watches me with them very carefully. His gaze never wanders. His interest never wanes.
Number Two is mostly gentle. But it’s the other side of him I like best. The wild side.
Number Three is mostly reserved. He refuses to cross the line. Even when I beg.
It was carnal, it was sensual, and it was erotic. That’s it. That’s all it was supposed to be. A trip into the dark. A peek into the forbidden.
I just didn’t expect to like them.

Review: Surj

”Nothing lasts forever. Not even the thrill of taboo lust.”

Clears throat, walks up to mic and taps. "This is  public service announcement. Do NOT, under any circumstances read J.A Huss's "Taking Turns" in public. In fact, do not read this book in front of parents or other family members or even friends, because it will become very apparent very quickly that you are reading something completely and utterly addictive yet completely and utterly filthy. You will not be able to hide your emotions and you will definitely not be able to hide your physical reactions to the story that unfolds. Be prepared to feel hot and bothered, be prepared to squirm and fidget. Get ready to cross, uncross and recross your legs as you clench your thighs to the point where you feel like you've done a thorough workout!!! Your toes will most definitely curl and a warm, tingling sensation will absolutely spread right throughout your body. Oh and god help partners,   husbands or anyone of the opposite sex that sits in your vicinity whilst you read because the chances are, you will want to jump their bones every chance you get. Like I said, this is your first and final warning. You have been told."

"That's how we keep them Chella. We feed the craving, turn it into an addiction,
and then we own you. There's no telling how long it will take for you to kick the
habit of us. But after this week, you'll be in too deep to walk away."

"Taking Turns" was J.A Huss at her best, although to be honest, every time I pick up one of this authors books, her best just gets better. There really seems to be no stopping this woman and her ability to tell mind blowing stories and this was a prime example of just that. "Taking Turns" was  sizzlingly hot, erotic, sexual, sensual, carnal, titilating ... god the list could go on but honestly, it was more than that. The story was just pure perfection and had me addicted from the minute I read the first chapter. It was heart poundingly brilliant. I loved the mystery and suspenseful element I was given but equally, I loved the characters.

"You have secrets Marcella." I say it out loud but she never even
stirs. "And I'm gonna figure them out."

Chelle was such a fantastic character but looking back, how much did I really know about her and her past? Not very much but it was the little hints of something more to this woman that kept me glued. As for the men, holy moly, where to start? Each one of them was like a present J.A Huss had given me and I enjoyed every second of unwrapping each of them and getting to know them intimately. Bric, Smith and Quin ... wow boys, you really sent my blood pressure through the roof and I cannot wait to get more from you. Each of them was different but equally hot and each of them surprised me more than once. I'm not going to say any more about them because they truly are a gift that you will want to savour yourselves.

I know addiction to the dark when I see it. And she's a junkie.

"Taking Turns" was a book about a walk into the forbidden. It was about a game involving four people... Chella, Bric, Quin and Smith. Each of them went into the arrangement with their eyes open, knowing full well what they were getting themselves into. Yes there was some guidance and of course there were rules but what happened when the rules were bent and ultimately broken? Would anyone come out a winner and if so, what or who was the prize?

What more can I say about this book without giving any more away? This really is a must read. My parting comment: Some people have porn. I have J.A Huss!!!!!

I rated "Taking Turns" ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am gone. I am done. I am right where I want to be. I am in heaven.
