Synopsis:

After Noel Falcon professed his love to the one girl who truly holds his heart in the palm of her hand, he decides to try his damndest to keep Lane Vance in his life forever this time. There’s no way he’ll let her slip through his fingers again without a fight.

The instant they are together Noel begins to plot a way to ask his headstrong lady-love to be his wife, but every attempt to pop the question is foiled by a string of mishaps that prevents him from the perfect moment to get the job done before he goes back on tour with Black Falcon.

Distance is a bigger challenge than Noel expects, and the one-eyed beast of jealous raises its ugly head when Lane takes on a job working on an ad campaign for Embrace the Darkness. With Striker—a man that’s made it clear in the past he’s very interested in more then her business sense—lurking around her constantly, Noel wants to claim Lane now, more than ever.

Review: Surj

"Rock the Band" was such a perfect finish to Noel and Lane's story and I'm so pleased that they managed to find their HEA. This is a novella so very short (in fact it didn't even take me an hour to finish) but that's not to say it wasn't good because it most definitely was.

"Rock the Band" started where "Rock the Heart" finished: with Noel and Lana finally beginning their journey together having overcome some pretty big obstacles. She was back on the tour bus next to the man she loved and I was jumping for joy. But this wouldn't be straight forward... i knew that, otherwise they wouldn't have got the extra novella would they!!! So what else were they going to have to overcome? Well for starters, Noel's massive insecurities:

But deep down I always had to fight back the fear that someday
I'd fuck things up and she would decide to run from me again.

The focus of this book was their relationship and holy crap was it intense. Noel just couldn't bear to be without Lane and that possessive streak was back in full force. Only this time Striker didn't seem to want to back down. He just kept winding Noel up, at one point they  almost came to blows:

That asshole obviously still didn't get it. Lane was mine and he
needed to move the fuck on and quit trying to go after my girl.

I did also get to see the gentle, caring and even romantic side to Noel in this book. When Lane was sick, he cancelled gigs so he could care for her. It was cute, especially since he was a tattooed bad boy rock star. The relationship between these two remained as hot as ever and they just couldn't keep their hands off each other. Even a bet to do just that for one day didn't last, both of them backing down because not touching  even for a few hours was unbearable.

The only way Noel knew Lane would truly be his was by putting a ring on her finger. Only a man would think of that logic!!! and definitely only one as insecure and possessive as Noel Falcon. It was hilarious watching him plan it all, trying to propose and just freezing, the words refusing to coming out. He was scared of the repercussions but he had to do it:

She hated when I did things that she thought pushed our relationship too fast.
She'd kill me if she knew what I was up to already/

This book was a bit like an extended epilogue. Although there were no huge curve balls, I enjoyed the story line  and the extra little bits that were thrown in like their unexpected news and also Noels re-connection with his family.

I rated this novella 4 Hearts

I can't wait to read the next book in the Black Falcon Series "Rock my Bed" which tells the story of Riff and Aubrey.
